Accounting Senior

Mazars in Mauritius is actively recruiting for Seniors in the Accounting Service Line. We are seeking for individuals having Minimum 3 years of experience, excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to management.

As part of the role, the Seniors would be expected to:

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS;
• Prepare Schedules for Auditors;
• Liaise with Auditors for smooth audit process;
• Involve in Budget Preparation;
• Debtors Chasing;
• Meet deadlines;
• Perform analytical review;
• Filing of statutory returns – VAT, CSG, PRGF and Levy;
• Develop and maintain good relationship clients;
• Be a team leader and motivate/ support subordinates;
• Ensure Proper planning;
• Support manager as and when required;
• Filing of CTX Return and;
• Perform ad-hoc duties.

Qualifications and Experience

• ACCA partly qualified– ACCA Level 2;
• Good understanding of Accounting Frameworks (IFRS);
• Understanding of local tax laws;
• Well versed with accounting software -Use of QuickBooks software will be a definite advantage
• Possess positive “can do” attitude to challenges and agility to multitask effectively across competing priorities;
• Promotes the firm’s values and beliefs, demonstrating integrity and maintaining an ethical stance, using flexibility and tact to express views as necessary.
